Frequently asked questions
Can I start the works upon filing?
In some town halls and for some works, yes — via prior communication or a "declaración responsable". Elsewhere you must wait for the resolution. We confirm which procedure applies.
How is this different from a major works licence?
Minor works do not touch structure, layout or use. Major works do, and require a full technical project and site management.
Do I need an architect for a kitchen or bathroom?
It depends on the town hall. Many require a technical memo signed by a chartered technician, which we draft when needed.
How much do I pay to the town hall?
A fixed processing fee plus the ICIO (a percentage of the works budget). We break both down in writing before filing.
